The Alligator ate my shoe.

Coraline was playing in her room when her mom came in and said.

“Coraline, it's time to go.” Coraline goes in her closet and can only find one red shoe. She is frustrated and throws out her shoes one by one.

Her blue kicks, her purple rollerblades, her orange sandals with little butterfly’s on them. She pulls out her pink and white bunny slippers. her black and pink boots. Even her yellow galoshes with pink and purple hearts all over they, but no red shoe. Coraline looks at her empty closet and pouts as she sits down. She looks up to her mom holding the one red shoe.
“ What’s wrong? “Can you not find your shoe? Oh No, what will we do? Did the porcupine take your shoe? “ teased here mom.

No mommy, don’t be silly but remember the time the monkey from the zoo took my shoe. And you know the fox ran away with sock, said Coraline and she starts to giggle.

Now, Coraline, said her mom

Coraline grins as she ignores her mom and continues “And then there was that dolphin named flipper that dived deep down with Grandma's bedroom slipper. And then there was the owl who didn’t give a hoot that he took my daddy's work boot. And that cute critter that took my babysitter. Coraline says out of breath running around acting like an owl with her daddy’s work boot.

Coraline, I do remember, but hurry up we are gonna be late for Daddy’s big dinner. Said Coraline’s mom.

Coraline whines, “but mommy I don’t have a clue what happened to my Do you think the alligator ate my shoe? Or maybe it was Lilly, she can be so silly. Do you think a seal could steal my new little pink heels?

“Coraline, you are so wacky”, said Lily her big sister
But..maybe it was the llama, mamma you know how it likes to cause all that drama. Or it could have been the sheep when we were fast asleep. Lilly sarcastically said.

“Okay you two no more goofing around, we don’t have the time, let's all start looking for Coraline’s other shoe, said, mom.”

Coraline, hopes around on one foot looking under the pillows, Lilly checks under the bed, Mom looks in the closet. Lilly looks under the sheets of Coraline's unmade bed. Mom opened all her drawers one by one. “Coraline this room is a mess”, mom says as she sits on the bed exhausted.

Coraline looks under her bed. Mommy, she yells, “ I told you the Alligator ate my shoe.” Coraline, Lilly and her mom all look under the bed and see there is Coraline's stuffed alligator with her shoe in his mouth. “See mom I told you the alligator ate my shoe.
